HISTORY

Over the course of more than a century, C.F.R. Cluj has struggled to rise up above its mere physical restraints. The club has always attempted to create its own identity and find its own unique path, while honourably representing Cluj-Napoca in the world of football. Although C.F.R. has spent most of its history in the bowels of inferiority, there were several notable exceptions to this rule. The first notable results of the 1920s, the glorious periods in the late 1940s, late 1960s and 1970s were all memorable events. Of course, the league and cup double of 2008 as well as the participation in the Champions' League seem to dwarf these achievements. However, this is no reason to ignore the past, its triumphs and its mistakes. This is the story of a team based on hard work, dedication, and passion. This is the story of C.F.R. 1907 Cluj....
